This Love

I have been quite hasty when it comes to love. And yet when I met her, the woman whom I am in love with and still very much are, changes my perspective in love. When every time I looked back to the previous "I love yous", I realised that "This Love" I have for her, is beyond everything I have thought love to be. Thus, this poem, choices of words I used, portrays the exact thoughts on love I have now.

This love has been patient with me.
When everything happened so fast,
It waited for me,
Reversing my extreme predicament,
Mellowing my intense heart,
Settled my irrationality,
Putting my feelings in place.
This love has been honest with me,
When I overpoured my feelings,
It kept me mum,
Patched back the outburst,
Stopping me from acting too much,
Telling me to treasure the moment,
To appreciate the person truly.
